Authentication and Security

Codenize uses passwordless authentication via magic links sent to your email. This means:

  • We do not store passwords
  • You are not vulnerable to password-based data breaches
  • Your account is secured through email-based authentication

Permissions

Camera Access

We request camera access to enable QR code scanning functionality. Camera data is only used to scan QR codes and is not stored or transmitted.

Location Access

We request location access to track where bins are scanned. Location data is associated with your bin scans and stored in our secure database.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information only as long as your account is active. When you request account deletion:

  • All of your account information is permanently deleted
  • Your email address is removed from our systems
  • Your bin data and associated location information is deleted
  • This deletion is complete and cannot be undone
